Pastor Gugu Mbuku - Senior Pastor/Founder
Born and raised in Mthatha, EC (RSA) to Bishop LJ Mbuku and ZP Mbuku (Senior Pastors/Founders of Mt. Horeb Evangelical Church in Mthatha), Pastor Gugu started out in his parents-led church as a musician, playing keyboards from an early age. He was part of an evangelical team that went around schools, hospitals, prisons, villages and towns alike, preaching the good news to communities. After graduating from high school he moved to Durban, KNZ for tertiary education and served in the music ministry as the leader under Pastor Thandi Dlamini at Divine Purpose Ministries. This is where he started in the area of preaching the word beyond the music ministry. Moving back to the Eastern Cape province and settling in East London, he then served under Pastor Simphiwe Khondlo in both music ministry as well as preaching behind the pulpit. He is very passionate about praise & worship ministry and equipping the saints with the word of God. Answering the call into planting a church in end of 2013 was what led to the birth of WWLC.
Pastor Thabile Ntobongwana - Associate Pastor
Born in Johannesburg, GP (RSA) and raised in the EC province in a small town called Tsolo, he had a life changing encounter with Christ at the age of 14 at a time when his mother was actively involved in Healthworkers' Christian Fellowship (HCF). He then took part in Youth Evangelical Activities at the Assemblies of God in Tsolo. After high school he relocated to Cape Town, WC for university. In Cape Town he joined Langa Christian Church (LCC) under the leadership of Pastor Seth Tladi and was involved in coordinating Youth Ministry. Moving back to the EC, he joined Jesus the Answer Ministries (JTA) in King Williams Town, under the leadership of Bishop Mandla Makhubalo, as a Youth Leader and later ordained a Pastor leading a branch of JTA in a small village in Dimbaza called Upper Mngqesha, this is where his gift of preaching, teaching and equipping the saints within music ministry developed the more. He is very passionate about people in both spiritual and social development.
